Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about JBSI programs and services.
How quickly can we start the CWE Challenge at our school?
Implementation timelines vary based on your specific needs and current academic calendar. Typically, we can begin with educator training within 2-4 weeks of our initial consultation, followed by student program launch 1-2 weeks later.
What age groups does the CWE Challenge serve best?
The CWE Challenge is specifically designed for grades 5-8 (ages 10-13). After years of piloting, this age group proved to be open enough to dream, yet mature enough to engage deeply with character development concepts.
Do you offer virtual program delivery options?
Yes! We offer both onsite delivery and virtual training options because JBSI will deliver the Challenge or teach your teachers how to do so. Onsite delivery is a joint effort with our teaching partners to ensure strong implementation of the customized plan. We use virtual options to design, plan, and guide partners during challenge development.
What makes JBSI different from other character education programs?
JBSI's unique approach reframes challenges as opportunities, and "weapons" as inner tools of resilience. Our hero-based character reviews create authentic connections that lead to rich group dialogue and personal self-awareness. Each custom challenge becomes its own set of interactive assessments & self-practice modules. Our solution-centered challenges, addressing cross-socioeconomic limitations, aim to inspire real-life solutions through peer-to-peer collaboration.
